Testshooting mit einer Canon EOS 7d in der Nachbarschaft

This is fun: I borrowed a canon eos 7d for testing, see some of the immediate results below.

I'm not a professional, I simply gathered some experience with my eos 400d for three years and close to 50'000 shots. These are the most obvious differences:
- The 7d is a lot bigger and heavier, it's a lot more complicated, with more possibilities, but it comes with a handy layout of controls
- I like the higher sensitivitiy of the sensor, I can shoot at ISO 3200, while with the 400d I do never go above ISO 400
- It can shoot 8 pics a second and allows what I'm never able to do with the small one, see the birds taking off or the water spraying off the leaves.

All the shots are done with a slightly wrong white balance. I like it a tad warmer and would adjust it, if the camera is mine to keep. -
A serious problem is my 17-55mm f2.8 lens. While it works very well with the 400d, on the 7d it delivers only good results in protrait distance. At 17mm however the distanced objects are never crisp enough. To marry the lens to the 7d, it would need some doctering first. I would opt at any time for a 50mm f1.4 lens and a fixed width ultra wide angle for this fantastic camera!
